Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Fairview's 11th in Last 12 Outings

It's playoff time, and Fairview had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lincolnview Lancers 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Apaches have posted since May 6th.

Fairview's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Coolman, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Fairview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lincolnview, they dropped their record down to 15-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Fairview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against Miller City on the 2nd. Lincolnview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
