Basketball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the North Providence Cougars 78-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Islanders have suffered against the Cougars since March 1, 2015.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for North Providence, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Middletown will square off against Juanita Sanchez Complex at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Providence, they will face off against Central Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in North Providence's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
