The Wellington-Napoleon Tigers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 54-43 victory over Oak Grove on Wednesday. That 11 points margin sets a new team best for Wellington-Napoleon this season.

Haden Terrill was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trotter Hughes, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Wellington-Napoleon's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Oak Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellington-Napoleon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sweet Springs at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Sweet Springs is ranked 434th, while Wellington-Napoleon is ranked 451st). As for Oak Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
