            Softball Recap: Hurricane Tigers vs. Mountain Ridge Sentinels        
        
		
        
        
            Hurricane was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They took  an  11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Ridge Sentinels.

  Ashlyn Hirschi was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ruby Seely, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mountain Ridge, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
 Coming up, Hurricane is taking a road trip to  face off against Salem Hills  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hurricane has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Mountain Ridge, they will welcome Emery  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday.
