Dumont is 2-8 against Cliffside Park since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Huskies will head out to square off against the Raiders at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dumont's tournament run continued when they took on Leonia on Saturday. The Huskies walked away with a 7-4 win over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Dumont's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Martin, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. The Huskies are 2-1 when Martin posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise. Another was Jarrett Carramusa, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Cliffside Park got the win against Memorial on Saturday by a conclusive 11-1. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Breidy Marine made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Marine was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jose Padron and Nicolas Ortiz did most of the damage at the plate: Padron went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI, while Ortiz went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Ortiz has posted since back in April of 2024. Derek Sanchez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Cliffside Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Cliffside Park has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Dumont, their record now sits at 5-6.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dumont has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like Cliffside Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .452. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dumont was able to grind out a solid victory over Cliffside Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
