Volleyball Recap: Pea Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Green Forest on Tuesday, Pea Ridge came back down to earth. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Gravette Lions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Pea Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Gravette into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 21-25, 21-25, 15-10.

Pea Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Gravette, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Pea Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gravette, they will welcome Prairie Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
