Everything went their way against the Van Bulldogs on Saturday as they made off with a 14-7 win. Considering the Titans have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Kolten Holbert and Jacob Stewart did most of the damage at the plate: Holbert went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI, while Stewart got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs Holbert has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tyler Ratliff, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Gilmer County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Van only posted a batting average of .259.
