Basketball Recap: Oak Park-River Forest Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oak Park-River Forest can now relate to. They were dealt an 82-25 loss at the hands of the Kenwood Broncos on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Huskies couldn't push the score so high this time.

It was another big night for London Walker George, who went 6-for-7 en route to 15 points and eight boards for Kenwood. Walker George is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games she's played. Danielle Brooks was another key player, going 5-for-8 on her way to 12 points.

Oak Park-River Forest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-29 record this season. As for Kenwood, they pushed their record up to 29-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Oak Park-River Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kenwood, they will take on Oak Lawn at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kenwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Oak Lawn likes a good challenge.
