Preview: Ragland Purple Devils vs. Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles
Ragland is 3-0 against Jefferson Christian Academy since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ragland Purple Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Ragland and 13 for Jefferson Christian Academy.
Ragland suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 48-21 loss at the hands of Victory Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ragland has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-29, which was the final score in Jefferson Christian Academy's tilt against Appalachian on Tuesday.
Ragland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Jefferson Christian Academy, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-13.
Ragland strolled past Jefferson Christian Academy in their previous matchup last Friday by a score of 72-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ragland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
