Softball Recap: Auburn Mountainview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Decatur on Friday, Auburn Mountainview came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Auburn Riverside Ravens by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Lions have struggled against the Ravens recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Melanie Duran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Kisling, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Auburn Mountainview's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Auburn Riverside, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

As of now, neither Auburn Mountainview nor the Ravens have any future games scheduled.
