San Marin is 8-2 against Archie Williams since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. San Marin will take on Archie Williams at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
San Marin barely beat Redwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. San Marin's pitcher stepped up to hand Redwood a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Taylor Testa was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Savannah Reynolds was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Avery Bishop also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
Meanwhile, Archie Williams was not the first on the board last Wednesday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over Terra Linda. Considering the Peregrine Falcons have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Archie Williams saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Singer, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another was Avery Rose, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Archie Williams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Archie Williams is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. San Marin's record is now 5-3.
San Marin came out on top in a nail-biter against Archie Williams in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will San Marin repeat their success, or does Archie Williams has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
