Soccer Recap: East Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for East Grand Rapids after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Christian Eagles by a score of 2-1. East Grand Rapids fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Christian since on Wednesday.

East Grand Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-3. As for Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Grand Rapids will head out to square off against Gull Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Gull Lake will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something East Grand Rapids surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christian, they will challenge Holland Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
