Basketball Recap: Swainsboro Falls Short of Vidalia in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Swainsboro can now relate to. They fell 58-49 to the Vidalia Indians on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.

Cori Warner was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 8-for-14 on her way to 21 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Nichols, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 15 points and three steals.

Swainsboro's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Vidalia, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-6.

Swainsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vidalia, they have already played their next game, a 44-38 victory against Elbert County on the 21st.
