Basketball Recap: Colonie Central Comes Up Short

Colonie Central and Shaker squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Colonie Central had to settle for second. They took a 55-36 bruising from the Shaker Bison. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Bison are ranked 27th).

Colonie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Shaker, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Colonie Central nor Shaker have any future games scheduled.
