Recap: North Side Gators vs. Riverside Bulldogs
There's no place like home for the North Side Gators, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 48-47 win over Riverside. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Side also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Riverside lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Stewart. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 2 assists. Stewart scored a full 57.4% of Riverside's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Wilson, who scored five points along with ten rebounds.
North Side's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8. As for Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
North Side will head out on the road to face off against Leflore County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Leflore County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against O'Bannon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
