Adna took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Winlock Cardinals 74-30. The Pirates pushed the score to 63-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had no chance of recovering from.

Adna's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevin Salme, who almost dropped a triple-double with 19 points, ten boards, and nine assists. Those ten rebounds gave Salme a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Richardson, who shot 70% from the field en route to 16 points and six steals.

Winlock dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Adna will challenge Toutle Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winlock, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-49 loss against Columbia Adventist Academy on the 6th.
