Volleyball Recap: Hart Comes Up Short

Hart lost against North Muskegon last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Norsemen. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Hart had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Reese Smith paced Hart's offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Cali Eisenlohr and her seven assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Hart's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for North Muskegon, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Coincidentally, Hart and North Muskegon will both be playing Fruitport the next time they take the court. The Norsemen will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
