Basketball Game Preview: Mineola Yellowjackets vs. Malakoff Tigers

Mineola has won six straight games at home, while Malakoff has won six straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Mineola Yellowjackets will host the Malakoff Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Mineola was able to grind out a solid win over Edgewood, taking the game 33-26.

Meanwhile, after only two points in their last game, Malakoff made sure to put some points up on the board against Eustace on Saturday. Malakoff blew past Eustace 66-19. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Malakoff is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.9 points per game. As for Mineola, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
