Basketball Game Preview: Mishawaka Marian Knights vs. South Bend Adams Eagles

The Mishawaka Marian Knights will take on the South Bend Adams Eagles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mishawaka Marian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Mishawaka Marian had to suffer through a 65-23 loss at the hands of Bremen. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Lions are ranked 92nd).

Despite the defeat, Mishawaka Marian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kariya Byer almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, South Bend Adams won against La Porte two weeks ago with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again last Saturday. South Bend Adams blew past Laporte 53-29. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 24 points.

Mishawaka Marian's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for South Bend Adams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
