Soccer Recap: Maple Mountain Comes Up Short

After flying high against Payson on Tuesday, Maple Mountain came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Spanish Fork Dons by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Maple Mountain couldn't quite close it out.

Maple Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Spanish Fork, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Maple Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Spanish Fork will square off against rival Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
