After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cornerstone Christian, Tabernacle was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the North River Christian Chargers 44-16. The Torches' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Landn Ervin was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 109 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 60 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Tabernacle's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for North River Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tabernacle will venture away from home to take on Tuscaloosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
