Basketball Recap: Tiospaye Topa Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Lakota Tech

On Wednesday, Tiospaye Topa faced Lakota Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks were beaten by the Lakota Tech Tatanka 78-46. The loss was the Thunderhawks' first of the season.

Lakota Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lizzie Robinson out in front who went 10 for 24 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Angeliyah Big Boy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tiospaye Topa fell to 2-1. As for Lakota Tech, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Tiospaye Topa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-50 win against Little Wound on the 19th. As for Lakota Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-43 victory against McLaughlin on the 19th.
