Basketball Game Recap: Eastern Christian vs. Hawthorne

This past Thursday, the Eastern Christian Eagles were out to avenge their 39-19 loss to the Hawthorne Bears from their previous meeting last month, but they had no such luck. Eastern Christian found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 43-13 punch to the gut against Hawthorne.

The Eagles' defeat pushed them down to 4-11. The win got Hawthorne back to even at 9-9-1.

The Eagles will square off against Elmwood Park on Tuesday. Eastern Christian won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. Hawthorne is on the road again on Tuesday and plays against Manchester Regional. The Bears are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
