Softball Recap: 13 Straight Home Wins for Palm Harbor University

Palm Harbor University came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Osceola Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Hurricanes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mylie Stout spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jessica Baker was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Palm Harbor University's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Osceola, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Harbor University will welcome Academy of the Holy Names at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Osceola, they will be playing at home against River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
