Softball Game Preview: Janesville Parker Vikings vs. Evansville Blue Devils

The Janesville Parker Vikings will square off against the Evansville Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Janesville Parker didn't have quite enough to beat Vel Phillips Memorial and fell 9-8.

Delaney King was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Payten Kent, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Evansville came up short against Monroe on Thursday and fell 8-5. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Cheesemakers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Evansville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Janesville Parker, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Everything went Janesville Parker's way against Evansville when the teams last played back in May of 2021, as Janesville Parker made off with a 9-1 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
