Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-26 loss at the hands of the Bethel Christian Kings. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-12.

When it comes to explaining why Hamilton lost, don't look at Mathew Torres-Osberg. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. The dominant performance gave Torres-Osberg a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Seth Aanestad, who earned seven points.

Bethel Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Kyababchian, who went 9 of 11 en route to 21 points and six assists. Alakai Farley was another key player, going 9 for 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Bethel Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Hamilton will face off against Temecula Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bethel Christian, they will square off against Crossroads Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
