Basketball Preview: Grape Creek Eagles vs. Ballinger Bearcats
Grape Creek is 0-9 against the Bearcats since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grape Creek Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Ballinger Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Grape Creek was the victim of a rough 61-40 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Grape Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.
Meanwhile, Ballinger had to suffer through a rough 62-33 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Ballinger can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 267th).
Grape Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-19 record this season. As for Ballinger, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
