Softball Recap: Slidell Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Slidell's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Central Wildcats on Thursday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 7-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Slidell and nudges their season record down to 6-11. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 15-6 John Curtis Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.7% over those games). As for Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Slidell will look to defend their home field on Friday against John Curtis Christian at 5:00 p.m. The Patriots will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they will head out to square off against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
