Soccer Recap: Woodlan Comes Up Short

Woodlan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Patriots. Woodlan were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Heritage earlier this season, when they won 1-1.

Woodlan's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-2 record this season.

Woodlan will host Norwell at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodlan's defense better be ready for this one: Norwell have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Heritage, they will square off against Garrett at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
