Baseball Recap: Forest Lake Extends Winning Streak to Three

Forest Lake proved they can win big last Monday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the White Bear Lake Bears 7-6. The victory was familiar territory for the Rangers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Hunter Hanegraaf was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Heiikkila, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Forest Lake's record is now 3-1. As for White Bear Lake, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Forest Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for White Bear Lake, they will challenge Stillwater at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Ponies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
