Baseball Recap: Menendez Triumphs

Covenant School of Jacksonville typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Menendez proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since March 26, 2024.

Lucas Drake was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tripp Barkoskie was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Menendez's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Menendez will square off against Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palatka will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they will challenge Stanton at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
