Soccer Recap: Alleghany Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Alleghany unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Mount Airy Granite Bears by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Samuel Luna was handed one for Alleghany, while Mount Airy got theirs courtesy of Xavier Hernandez Ibarra.

Alleghany wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against East Surry on the 18th. As for Mount Airy, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Maiden on the 15th.
