Basketball Game Preview: Central Knights vs. Johnston Panthers

The Central Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Johnston Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matches -- so hopefully Johnston likes a good challenge.

Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Classical, who was ranked second at the time (Central was ranked seventh). Central was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 73-72 to Classical.

Meanwhile, Johnston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Burrillville, falling 63-36.

Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
