Bradford and Port Allegany are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Owls will face off against the Gators at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Brookville hit Bradford with a five-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Owls came up short against the Raiders, falling 10-3.

Bradford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Whitmore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Allegany). Everything went their way against Oswayo Valley on Friday as they made off with a 24-10 win. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Port Allegany's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Bradford, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Bradford beat Port Allegany 4-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
