Basketball Recap: Rye Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rye had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-46 victory over the Nyack Red Hawks. The win was familiar territory for the Garnets, who have now won four contests in a row.

Rye's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for Nyack, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Rye will square off against Yorktown on Tuesday. Rye will be up against Yorktown's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Nyack does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
