Football Game Preview: Wapakoneta Redskins vs. Central Catholic Fighting Irish

The Wapakoneta Redskins will take on the Central Catholic Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wapakoneta is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Shawnee with a sharp 41-16 win. The victory was just business as usual for the Redskins, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Wapakoneta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Moyer out in front who threw for 182 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Moyer is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Kaden Page was Moyer's top target, picking up 134 receiving yards and three scores.

Lexington typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Central Catholic proved too difficult a challenge. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Minutemen 49-18. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-10.

Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Wapakoneta, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
