Basketball Recap: Jodarsen Pierre's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Roselle over Ewing

Roselle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Ewing Blue Devils, falling 78-57. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 85th).

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jodarsen Pierre, who posted 19 points. Zaire Hopson was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Roselle now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Ewing, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Roselle will face off against Governor Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ewing does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
