Basketball Recap: North Lenoir Comes Up Short

North Lenoir lost against Ayden - Grifton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Lenoir Hawks fell to the Ayden - Grifton Chargers 51-46. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ayden - Grifton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was EJ Ruffin out in front who posted 16 points. Jahmir Outlaw was another key player, putting up ten points.

North Lenoir's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Ayden - Grifton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

North Lenoir wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-40 defeat against Southwest Onslow on the 28th. Ayden - Grifton has also already played their next matchup, a 67-59 loss against South Central on the 18th.
