Football Game Preview: Lighthouse Christian vs. Rockland

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Thursday Lighthouse Christian will take on Rockland at 6:00 PM. Rockland will need to watch out since Lighthouse Christian have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.

Lighthouse Christian put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They steamrollered Camas County 60-6. That looming 54-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lighthouse Christian yet.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing eight points in their last game, Rockland made sure to put some points up on the board against Clark County/Watersprings. Rockland were the clear victor by a 52-30 margin over Clark County/Watersprings. Rockland were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Their wins bumped Rockland to 3-5 and Lighthouse Christian to 7-1. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
