Basketball Recap: East Duplin Takes a Loss

East Duplin has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a blow against the Kinston Vikings on Tuesday, falling 78-32. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

East Duplin lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Calvin Harper, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Hughes, who put up six points.

East Duplin's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Kinston, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

East Duplin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-31 victory against Rosewood on the 8th. Kinston has also already played their next contest, a 69-57 defeat against Southwest Onslow on the 8th.
