Softball Recap: Old Lyme Comes Up Short

Old Lyme lost against Fitch back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Old Lyme's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Fitch, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Lyme will square off against Portland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fitch, they will venture away from home to square off against Bacon Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
