Baseball Recap: Blooming Prairie's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Blooming Prairie ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals by a score of 10-7. The Awesome Blossoms' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Carsten Ingvalson was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ingvalson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Brady Kittelson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Bo Zweiner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Blooming Prairie's record is now 4-0. As for Lewiston-Altura, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blooming Prairie will take on Kenyon-Wanamingo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lewiston-Altura, they will challenge Plainview-Elgin-Millville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
