Softball Recap: Fairfax Lions vs. Palisades Dolphins

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Fairfax finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell victim to a rough 15-0 defeat at the hands of the Palisades Dolphins. Fairfax has struggled against Palisades recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

For Palisades' part, Briana Vasquez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Vasquez has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Vasquez was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a double.
