Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Takes a Loss

After flying high against Jo Byrns last Tuesday, Greenbrier came back down to earth. The Greenbrier Bobcats were outmatched by the Cheatham County Central Cubs and fell 79-51. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-30 back in November.

Greenbrier dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cheatham County Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenbrier won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Liberty Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cheatham County Central, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Houston County at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
