Volleyball Recap: Donna Find Success

Donna won the last time they faced Rio Hondo and things went their way on Friday too. The Redskins walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bobcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Donna was: they took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-9.

Sarah Garcia was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five aces and four assists.

Garcia wasn't the only good server: Donna was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Donna's record now sits at 4-1. As for Rio Hondo, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Donna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mission Veterans Memorial on the 16th. As for Rio Hondo, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Harvest Christian on the 16th.
