Basketball Recap: Bishop O'Dowd Takes a Loss

Bishop O'Dowd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 76-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Ramon Valley Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Wolves are ranked 33rd).

Bishop O'Dowd's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for San Ramon Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.

Bishop O'Dowd will head out on the road to challenge San Leandro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop O'Dowd is facing San Leandro at the right time seeing as San Leandro is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for San Ramon Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Amador Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Ramon Valley is on a four-game streak of home wins, Amador Valley a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
