Mead and Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mead had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lutheran Lions, falling 14-7.
Julianne Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Halie Gippe, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.
