Soccer Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Mateo Bearcats. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Grizzlies couldn't quite close it out.

Jefferson's record now sits at 0-14. As for San Mateo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Coming up, Jefferson will welcome Hillsdale at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsdale's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Jefferson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for San Mateo, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the San Mateo take on the Half Moon Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Mateo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
