Softball Recap: United Comes Up Short

United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-12 to the Alexander Bulldogs. If the Longhorns were looking for revenge after losing 12-6 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eva Rogerio and Delani Perez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rogerio went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Perez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. That's the most hits Rogerio has posted since back in February. Regina Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

United's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16-1. As for Alexander, they moved to 7-15 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, United and Alexander will both be playing United South the next time they take the field. Alexander will head out to face United South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while United will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
