Basketball Recap: Landon Bingham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mineral Ridge over Mcdonald

Mineral Ridge lost against McDonald back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mineral Ridge Rams took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McDonald Blue Devils. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mineral Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Landon Bingham, who posted eight points and eight assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Blake Basista, who put up 12 points.

It was another big night for Drew Zajack, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds for McDonald. Zajack is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Joey Cappuzzello was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Mineral Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for McDonald, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.

Mineral Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 48-34 win against Western Reserve on the 11th. As for McDonald, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-54 loss against Memorial on the 11th.
